Everywhere in the world like offices, buildings and homes; electricity, flammable liquids and natural gas are required for personal and commercial use. In other words, we are ‘playing with fire’ in our daily lives. Radioactive materials or explosives react with any other material in the presence of heat. Owing to their hectic lifestyles, people are too busy and neglect those things which can make a normal situation into a tragedy. They often forget to even think about the predictable or unpredictable risks associated with fire accidents and thus make themselves responsible for the consequences of that negligence.

It’s very essential to remember the significance of fire safety and prevention in everyone’s life. Almost everywhere in the world, promotion of the usage of Fire Safety Equipment that helps in fire prevention and tackling is done by fire authorities and departments that provide the services for fire fighting. It is very important for every fire Marshall to use only the most common and simplest tools to protect the properties against the fire. For small & medium businesses and homes; smoke detectors, fire alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, fire escaping ladder and fire extinguishers are really helpful.

On the other hand, Fire brigades must be equipped with personal protection such as helmet, leather gloves, fire proof gear and also dusk mask with gas. Apart from all this, other safety equipments which prove to be useful are body protection, fire suits and blankets, emergency kits and safety belts and in case of higher level of fire fighting departments, the fire protection equipments should be portable generator sets, audible warning devices, powered tools etc and under road safety equipments, safety signs and sirens are the most helpful tools for the by-standers and passersby.

Each and every tool should be used only after the right training and with proper handling orientation and if it is possible then after gaining a certain degree of knowledge, which can be ingrained into the psyche through instructions given in the fire safety booklets. For homes customers, it is very important that the inhabitants know the usage of each fire equipment. They should also make a proper set up so that at the time of any emergency they would not face any problem with the equipments. There is a possibility that if they do not act sooner, it may become too late to combat fire with that particular equipment.
